We’re a little chapter doing big things. Through our science-based conservation, and with the help of agencies such as the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, the US Fish & Wildlife Service, and the US Geological Survey’s Eastern Ecological Science Center’s Silvio O. Conte Anadromous Fish Laboratory, we’ve demonstrated that wild trout are spawning in the upper Deerfield. We’ve been radio tracking thirty trout for over two years to show the effects of hydropeaking on this trout population, especially during spawning season. We’ve partnered with the Franklin Land Trust to help conserve over 150 acres along the North River in Heath, MA. And we’ve partnered with the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce to promote fly fishing, tourism, and economic development. In 2018, our chapter was recognized with the Golden Trout Award, Trout Unlimited’s highest honor.

Your donation supports not only our chapter but an entire ecosystem—the river, the fish, the land, and the people who cherish and protect these natural resources. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donations are tax deductible, and we will send a letter thanking you to document your generous contribution.
