Andy Danylchuk is Associate Professor of Fish Conservation, University of Massachusetts. His research spans both marine and freshwater systems around the globe. He is an award winning educator and public spokesperson for fish conservation. He was a cofounder of Keep Fish Wet, an organization that promotes science-based best practices for catch and release. Dr. Danylchuk spoke to our chapter over zoom on December 15, 2021 about the findings from his extensive research. He clearly and concisely laid out the best practices for handling trout and other freshwater and saltwater species. He urged us all to visit the https://www.KeepFishWet.org Website to read more about the science and to become an “Advocate” and take the pledge to implement the best practices at https://www.keepfishwet.org/advocate.
