In September 2025, Kate abbott and Mike Cole from Cole Ecological Inc. worked with volunteers from the DRWTU chapter to sample and subsequently analyze macro invertebrates in three location on the upper Deerfield River. The density and proportions of various bugs in the sample shed light on the quality of the watershed. Kate Abbott presented the results in our January 2026 chapter meeting at Greenfield Community College. This recording on our YouTube channel summarizes the results.
